A son of Manduro, Duroble Man had been placed on four of his five previous starts so we were all delighted that he has got his head in front.

He raced keenly under Neil Callan but was always to the fore and seemed at ease on Brighton's undulations.

He struck the front with two furlongs to run and kept on strongly to hold all challengers at bay, winning by a length and a quarter.
