The son of Equiano, owned and bred by Newsells Park Stud, made almost every yard of the running under Freddie Tylicki and showed a likable attiude.

He broke well from a poor draw and Freddie kept it simple and went straight to the lead. He travelled well before quickenng the tempo with three furlongs to run.

The runner-up Jaylinkski poised a strong challenge inside the final furlong but Ebony N Ivory battled on well to win by a neck.

Roger said: "Ebony N Ivory has done well to make all on debut. He was proffesional and I liked his attitude. It's great to have a winner with our first runner for Newsells Park Stud."
