REMOJI gets off the mark at Beverley and DASHING DARCEY returns to winning ways at Beverley.

REMOJI made a pleasing debut last month, coming second at Brighton, but she went one better today to shed her maiden tag in fine style. Held up towards the rear of the field, the three-year-old Belardo filly was left with plenty to do as they approached the post, but she swooped home with a late rattle under James Doyle to claim the 7½f maiden contest by half a length.

Congratulations to owner/breeder Mrs Hanako Varian!

Meanwhile at Haydock Racecourse, dual-winning juvenile DASHING DARCEY bounced back to winning ways in the hands of Silvestre De Sousa. The Muhaarar colt had been consistent on all three three-year-old starts to date, but he took a pleasing step forwards this afternoon, making his victory look comfortable and showing a nice attitude when powering clear of his rivals in the final furlong.

Congratulations to connections Opulence Thoroughbreds!
