They came into the race with very different profiles, but Daahyeh and Stylistique were separated by just half a length as they provided a superb 1-2 for the yard in the G2 Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket.

Daahyeh, a Royal Ascot winner and already Group 1 placed, was made the clear 11/8 favourite of the eight runners with her stablemate a 14/1 shot to break her maiden in this exalted company. Daahyeh's turn of foot took her to the front as things got serious, but she couldn't quite see off the persistent challengers, widest of whom was her stablemate who at one stage looked more likely than not to pick her up before the line came.

As it was the confirmed class got Daahyeh home, with Stylistique running a fantastic race to pick up black type for the first time.

Both fillies will now be given time to get over their excursions, with Daahyeh having the option of the Breeders' Cup Filly And Mare Juvenile Turf at Santa Anita should her demeanour tell us she should be running again this season. Stylistique has a range of options, including getting on the board in novice company.
