Two runners at Beverley Racecourse today… and two winners! KITSUNE POWER and CELL SA BEELA prove the trip up north to be fruitful, swooping in the closing stages to score for their respective owners King Power Racing and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.

Last seen finishing strongly for second of 16 at Glorious Goodwood; KITSUNE POWER wasn’t to settle for silver in today’s William Hill Silver Cup Handicap. Biding his time, jockey Kevin Stott sat out the rear of the six-strong field, waiting until the final bend to draw the three-year-old gelding to the outer. KITSUNE POWER responded gamely, picking off his rivals and powering on for an authoritative 2L win - his third success this year for owners King Power Racing.

Not to be outdone by her more experienced stablemate, juvenile filly CELL SA BEELA justified race favouritism to break her maiden on only her second start in the Irish EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes. Racing along in midfield, jockey Ben Curtis - who also enjoyed a double on the card - waited until 2f out before pushing the button. The Kingman filly swooped down the outside, hitting top gear 1f out and staying on to secure the win.

She looks to be an exciting filly and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for her. Congratulations to owner Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.
