Winning form continues for BASHOSH, who is now two from two following up his Leicester win with a victory in the Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Novice Stakes at Doncaster on Friday.

Although the race today did not play out as impressively as his debut run on softer ground at Leicester in May, Bashosh did enough to maintain his clean sheet. A dwelt start from stall 2 under Jack Mitchell, meant that Bashsosh was slightly held up in midfield, but appeared settled tracking the early leaders of Hazalou and Anmaat. Inside the final 2F Mitchell did well to navigate his way through the leading pack to find a gap where he could press Bashosh on, but once he did the Dubawi colt found a striking turn of foot from the back. It looked at one stage that the pair had left too much to do but Bashosh showed grit and determination powerfully taking up the lead in eye-catching fashion, making ground with every stride. Bashosh was well on top at the line to justify favouritism and maintain his unbeaten record with one of the rank outsiders Simon & Ed Crisford trained Makashi ½ L behind in second.

Despite leaving a bit to do in the final stages, Bashsosh did well to get up and land the prize. Congratulations to winning connection and Jack Mitchell for a professional ride. Bashsosh showed plenty of promise and will have no doubt come on from the run, with his scoresheet untarnished he remains an exciting prospect this season.
