The son of Dubawi, owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid, ran out a ready winner despite showing signs on greenness up the straight.

Jockey Andrea Atzeni always had his mount in a good position close to the pacesetter Oden. He travelled with ease before quickening up smartly with two furlongs to run.

He showed his inexperience in front but Andrea kept him balanced and he kept on strongly to win impressively by a length and a half.

Roger said: "We always knew he would improve for the switch to turf and he is won well despite still showing inexperience.

"Andrea has done a great job. He looks a lovely prospect."
