The daughter of Authorized won on her debut at Wolverhampton last autumn before dissappointing at Kempton on her final start of the year.

She proved that her debut win was no fluke when proving too good for her rivals yesterday in the hands of Neil Callan.

Callan had settled his mount at the rear of the field, going the shortest route around the inside.

He made smooth headway up the straight and was still full of running when he sent Ambivalent into the lead. She soon quickened clear of her rivals to win by five lengths.

Roger said: "She has been working well recently and it was good to see her win well. Hopefully she can improve as the season goes on."
