ALWAYS HAPPY wins impressively on debut at Southwell

Always Happy showed true professionalism on her first race from start to finish. Drawn widest of all, jockey Rowan Scott held the three-year-old Siyouni filly up towards the rear of the field and the pair found cover which helped them settle nicely into the race. Always Happy travelled strongly throughout and showed a gutsy attitude to manoeuvre through the field in the home straight. Once the pair hit the front, the filly showed an explosive turn of foot and fended off the challenge from the more experienced City Queen to win readily.

Always Happy is a homebred out of the Listed-placed Sweet Molly Malone. Congratulations to all winning connections, regular work rider Emma Clutterbuck and groom Tadeusz Wojcik.
