The daughter of With Approval has been placed on all three of her starts this season and deserved this breakthrough victory.

She was always to the fore under Dane O'Neill, travelling strongly on the heels of the leader.

Having cruised down the hill, Aloha eased into the lead with two furlongs to run before powering clear to win by three lengths.

Roger said: "She has been unlucky on a couple of occasions this season and deserved to get her head in front. She has done it nicely and was suited by the soft ground."

At Doncaster Steps went down by just a nose in the Portland handicap. The son of Verglas has been second on his last three starts and deserves a 'big' one.
