Shadwell Racing's AL HUSN extends away at Kempton in the Unibet/British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes under Jim Crowley

Moving up in trip AL HUSN stretched away to get off the mark at the third attempt under Jim Crowley for Shadwell Racing Ltd at Kempton this afternoon.

Making use of a low draw and breaking more cleanly out of the stalls this time, AL HUSN settled in midfield. With Jim Crowley at the helm she travelled under the cover of the leading pack in the initial stages, waiting until the home straight before launching her attack. Inside the final two furlongs Al Husn put in a striking turn of foot, cruising up the inside to challenge the leaders, continuing to extend away to hit the line 1 ¾ lengths ahead of the runner up Yarralumla from the Clive Cox yard.

Al Husn clearly appreciated the extra furlong this afternoon with a step up in trip to one mile, which you would expect from daughter of Dubawi out of a Sea The Stars mare. Congratulations to Shadwell Racing LTD and connections. The Dubawi filly has improved from start to start, putting experience to good use to justify favouritism. Al Husn has all the form in the book and it came to fruition today in the Unibet/British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes. If Al Husn remains on this upward trajectory her 3YO campaign is set to be an exciting one.
