Consistent performer AL HUSN and juvenile debutant ENFJAAR make it a double on the day for Shadwell, Varian Stable and David Egan!

Shadwell homebred AL HUSN got the day off to a flier with a strong display under David Egan to land the opening race on the card, extending her unbeaten run to four with her last victory coming just two weeks ago at Newmarket in a 1m Fillies’ Handicap.

Stepping up to 1m2f today, the three-year-old travelled towards the rear of the field before making headway 3f from home. Down into the dip she began to pick up, coming through strongly in the final furlong to assert her dominance and justify race favouritism.

Lope de Vega juvenile ENFJAAR made it a Shadwell-owned double on the card with a perfect start to his racing career, racing on strongly at the finish to shed his maiden tag at the first time of asking in the hands of David Egan.

Congratulations to Shadwell and Sheikha Hissa Hamdan Al Maktoum with both of these exciting horses.
