The daughter of Shamardal has won at Beverley and Salisbury in the past and showed she was still on the up with a gutsy victory under Jack Mitchell.

The leaders set frantic fractions up front and Jack was happy to sit at the back of the field, allowing Ajadaat to find her rhythm.

She was pushed wide on the turn but this proved no barrier and she came home strongly to get up deep inside the final furlong, winning by half a length.

Roger said: "Ajadaat is only small but she tries and deserved to win again. The hood switches her off and it suits her to come from behind."
