The son of Holy Roman Emperor was green on his recent debut at Yarmouth but stepped up on that to win in good style under Neil Callan.

He was drawn well in four and Neil was able to adopt a handy racing position just behind the leader.

He still travelled well in behind and when the cutaway came with two furlongs to run, he showed a good turn of foot to go clear and win by nearly three lenghts.

Roger said: "He was greener than we expected at Yarmouth but he seems to have learnt plenty from that. He has done it nicely and seemed suited by the all-weather."

At Nottingham earlier in the day, Muthmera only narrowly failed to get up in the mile fillies' maiden.
