Nurlan Bizakov’s two-year-old colt CHARYN put in a pleasing debut performance to score in the SkyBet Sunday Series Newcomer’s EBF Maiden Stakes at Haydock this afternoon.

The striking grey by Dark Angel is bred to be a useful sprinter, brother to Group Three winning Wings Of War. Despite a slightly green start CHARYN made smooth progress through the field in the hands of David Egan. Making a strong challenge in the closing stages and continuing to run on well to the line to take home the prize and get off the mark at the first attempt.

CHARYN has shown himself to have plenty of talent with a classy performance on debut. We look forward to seeing what more this son of Dark Angel can show this season.
