KODIAC filly RUMAYTHAH continues the yards winning form with a thrilling win at Ripon Races under David Egan.

The drop down in trip back to sprinting on a soft surface after her run at Salisbury proved the ideal conditions for RUMAYTHAH, who went on to land the prize in the British EBF Premier Fillies’ Handicap. A closely packed tightly run race led to a thrilling contest right down to the wire at Ripon this afternoon. Rumaythah under David Egan kept on the pace in third in the early stages, Egan made his move and put pressure on the leaders inside the final 2 furlongs, giving Rumaythah every chance. The Kodiac filly stayed on well, opening up and taking the lead in the final stages. The favourite Zim Baby, piloted by Tom Marquand, came to challenge and looked to have it, but Egan rallied Rumaythah and the pair came back in an impressive fashion to just do enough to get the verdict in a tight photo finish.

Congratulations to winning owners H.H. Shaikh Nasser Al- Khalifa and Fawzi Nass, a fantastic result after a display of top-class sport from both Rumaythah and David Egan.  We look forward to seeing what this daughter of Kodiac goes on to do in her 3YO campaign.
