The Sea The Stars colt is clearly bred to do the job, and has begun life on the track as he means to go on. Racing a touch greenly, as expected on debut, with a dwelt start but by the end of the one mile course and distance he had his ears pricked and had evidently got the hang of things. Ridden under the experienced Andrea Atzeni who only had to resort to hands and heels late on, at which point Subastar moved through to take up the running one furlong out. Keeping on well to the line to overcome market weakness and put the race to bed in an impressive fashion.

Congratulations to winning owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid, this is a well-bred and smart colt who remains an exciting prospect if this debut performance is anything to go by. As a son of Sea The Stars, Subastar has potential to rate as a fine middle-distance prospect and is definitely one to watch.
