ALMATY STAR and OKAMI land a Lingfield double under the guidance of Jack Mitchell!
ALMATY STAR was sent off as race favourite in today's 5f At The Races App Expert Tips Maiden Stakes, and he duly justified it with a comfortable victory in the hands of Jack Mitchell. Breaking smartly, he settled to race in third position through the first few furlongs. As they swung for home, the three-year-old son of Kodiac cruised up into contention, hitting top gear with a furlong to go and storming clear for a 5L victory ahead of Robert Cowell's Make Clear.

Later on the card, OKAMI made it two on the bounce and sealed a double on the day for the yard. The three-year-old son of Showcasing raced prominently early on under jockey Jack Mitchell. 2f from home he was shaken up and sent to battle race favourite Saturnalia for the lead, it was a race to the line but the fast-finishing OKAMI just got his nose in front when it counted, to land the 7f Class 5 Handicap by a short head.
