Owned by Mr Nurlan Bizakov, the daughter of Frankel finished a promising third on her debut at Yarmouth last season and she put that experience to good use here, travelling sweetly in behind long-term leader Ripley before looming ominously on her outside entering the Dip.

Asked to quicken by Andrea Atzeni and Qazyna readily responded to her rider’s request, shooting clear of the field in matter of strides and winning by eased-down three and a half lengths and the same from newcomer Feline Groovy and the John Gosden-trained Rococo.

An imperious physical specimen with a pedigree to match, Qazyna is now set to try her hand at a higher level, although a decision over next her outing will be made when the dust settles on this success.

Roger said: “Qazyna is a fine, big filly who tanked along and put the race to bed early. We could look at an Oaks trial or we stay at a mile – we’ll see how she comes out of this and go from there.”

Earlier on the card, Altyn Orda ran a fine race on her seasonal reappearance to finish runner-up in the G3 Nell Gwyn Stakes and she will now head to the 1000 Guineas two weeks on Sunday.
