The son of Invincible Spirit was conceding weight all-round but ran out a ready winner under Paul Hanagan.

Hanagan settled Ektihaam, the 11/4 second favourite, at the rear of the four runners and he relaxed into a good rhythm.

The favourite Wrotham Heath was always to the fore and was still full of running with 3F to run.

Hangan tracked the favourite before kicking for home over 2F out. Ektihaam responded well to to his jockey's urgings, hitting the front at the furlong pole and surging clear to win by five lengths.

Roger said: "We came here over ten furlongs because Paul has ridden him in his work and Richard Hills has had a sit on him, and we thought going the Guineas route over a mile on a course he didn´t handle in the Dewhurst would put him on the back foot.

"He´s proved he stayed the trip and he won´t be dropping back or going up in trip in the near future. I don´t know where he´ll go next."
