Bay gelding by Oasis Dream / Quetena (Acatenango). Purchased at the Tattersalls October Book 1 Yearling Sale for 500,000gns. This colt comes from a tremendous German family. He is a full brother to Group 1 winner Querai and a half-brother to Group 3 winner Quasillo. His second dam is German champion racemare Quebrada and his third dam is US Grade 1 winner Queen To Conquer.

Sharja Bridge broke his maiden at three with an impressive display at Nottingham. As a four-year-old he competed well in several competitive handicaps and it wasn't until the final day of the season at British Champions Day that all the stars aligned and he weaved his way through most of the field under James Doyle to take the £250,000 Balmoral Handicap in what was a thrilling race and a well deserved win for the horse. He made a sparkling return in 2019 to take the Listed Doncaster Mile by two lengths on the first day of the turf season and he followed that up with a career best to finish second in the G2 Sandown Mile, beaten only half a length. He wasn't able to get involved in the G1 Lockinge Stakes, but ran a much better race in the G1 Queen Anne at Royal Ascot where he was beaten 5 3/4 lengths. He disappointed on his return from a break in the G3 Superior Mile at Haydock where he raced keenly before fading inside the final furlong to finish last of the six runners.
